The Câbleries de Valenciennes ( Câbval) were established to Somain ( 59 ) in 1981 by Mr Lan de Wit, President of the company White Holding NV - Dutch company specialized in the production of electric cables and electric beams situated to Oudenbosch

  

In 1995, Draka Holding acquires all of the companies of the Group White Holding and Câbleries de Valenciennes begins low-cost activities in Czech Republic. Draka Holding is a listed company in Amsterdam. 

 

In 2010 Draka Holding is the object of an OPA and give up the activities cablings to leaders of the division Draka Wire and Cable Assemblies before the repurchase of Draka by Prysmian.

 

Philippe Forêt, historic Leader of the Câbleries de Valenciennes, resumes to 100% the French company in MBO through Câbval Holding. The same year the Câbval company creates Câbval Tunisie, company situated in Manouba near Tunis

 

Today the Group Câbval is a company which favors a family corporate culture very strongly directed on the customer satisfaction and on the social cohesion in the company..In 2015 our company employs 260 people among whom 160 people in Tunisia.

 

On the other hand, Câbval is a pioneer in the integration of staffs mentally handicapped persons in ordinary working environment. A team of the ESAT of Denain compound of 18 disabled people and 2 specialized managerial employees works every day for 30 years in our factory in Somain.

 

The continuation of our history is planned in our strategy. It crosses by an acceleration of our growth and the projects of extension of the surfaces of production. We shall describe these next stages at the appropriate moment.
